Structural testing and FEA dataset for a composite turbine blade
This dataset contains the results from the structural testing and finite element analysis (FEA) of a 13m turbine blade, which has been manufactured from glass fibre reinforced powder epoxy. The dataset includes the results from dynamic and static testing of the blade. The results from the dynamic testing includes the natural frequencies and mass of the blade. The results from the static testing display the deflection, and associated strains, in both the flapwise and edgewise directions, where the load was applied in increments of 25% of the maximum design load.
The associated paper that uses some of, and explains further, the data is available at : Finnegan William, Jiang Yadong, Dumergue Nicolas, Davies Peter, Goggins Jamie (2021).
